Alex Reynolds
Alex Reynolds (b. 1978, Spain) is an artist and filmmaker living in Brussels and Berlin. Honing into the intersection of portraiture and fiction, her films often walk the line between tenderness and violence to explore the expansive and invasive potential of point of view, empathy, and rhythm. Recent exhibitions and projects include presentations at Hollybush Gardens, London; Estrany de la Mota, Barcelona; Ca2M, Madrid; FRAC Lorraine, Metz; Playground Festival, Leuven; galería Marta Cervera, Madrid; Tabakalera, San Sebastián; Komplot, Brussels; CAC, Vilnius; National Music and Theatre Library of Sweden, Stockholm; Bonniers
Konsthall, Stockholm. Her films have been screened at cinemas and festivals such as FIDMarseille, Les Rencontres Internationales, Aesthetica Film Festival, Kunstfilmtage Düsseldorf and Cinematek in Brussels. Reynolds is also a professor in Fine Arts at KASK, Ghent.
